Role Overview

Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of assembly processes for new projects. The role focuses on process design, capacity planning, line installation, sample builds, and continuous improvement to ensure smooth SOP and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute new projects including assembly line setup and process development

• Install new assembly lines and implement lessons learned from previous projects

• Plan samples (T0, T1, TF) and conduct operator training for new projects

• Perform capacity planning and line balancing

• Prepare and maintain SAP documentation and PPAP documents

• Execute assembly line installation and handover to production

• Design and develop jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing

• Ensure timely execution of processes through effective process development

• Drive continuous improvement through VA / VE initiatives

• Evaluate and introduce new technologies based on systematic ROI analysis

• Participate in FMEA reviews and benchmarking activities

• Support RFQ preparation and SPC implementation

• Prepare samples as per IPP guidelines

• Participate in Cross Functional Team (CFT) activities as required

• Plan and improve process capability for new and existing processes

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Technical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

• Assembly and manufacturing process knowledge

• SPC, PPAP, and FMEA exposure

• Knowledge of applicable laws and standards


Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 10–15 years
