Sr. Engineer – Optics
Role Overview
Responsible for the design, simulation, development, and validation of automotive lighting optics using LucidShape. The role ensures optical performance, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements are met throughout the new product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop optical concepts for automotive lighting systems
• Perform optical simulations and analysis using LucidShape
• Ensure compliance with applicable automotive lighting regulations and standards
• Support prototyping, validation, and optical testing activities
• Optimize light distribution, intensity, uniformity, and efficiency
• Coordinate with design, tooling, quality, and manufacturing teams during development
• Support DFMEA and technical reviews related to optical performance
• Participate in CFT meetings and customer technical discussions
Required Skills & Knowledge
• Hands-on experience with LucidShape
• Automotive lighting optics fundamentals
• Knowledge of lighting regulations and standards
• Product development and validation processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
